TF2 Plus Dry Lubricant with Teflon Surface Protector and TF2 Dry Wax Chain Wax + Krytox
Thought this review was going to be a waste of time to be honest, having used the TF2 lube before (and loved it) I didn't think these two would be worth trying, how wrong was I?
After cleaning the chain of any dirt or previous lubricants the first one I tested was the dry chain wax. The first thing I noticed was the colour made it a lot easier to see when the whole chain was covered so I knew the chain was protected but didn't waste any extra that I didn't need. I didn't hang about and went straight out on the bike to see what it was like straight after applying it rather than wait for it to dry on. I was impressed, nice, smooth, noise free gear changes and when I got home there was no real dirt on the chain like you can get with some lubes. I then cleaned the chain again and reapplied the wax but this time leaving it to dry on for a few hours, back out on the bike and the same perfect results, both rides were in the dry.
Overall the wax was a great lube I would recommend and will be buying more in the future.
Now the TF2 plus dry lube
After cleaning the chain I applied this lube in the same way as the wax. A bit thinner so was careful not to throw too much on the floor, however having used this type of lube before it wasn't a problem, great gear changing from the off, rode about 15 miles and when I got home the chain looked clean and still I could feel the lube even after a few big puddles!! which is what you want from a dry lube as even when its dry weather there's still a good chance it's going to be a bit wet.
Overall this lube is a great product you know is going to work time after time.
If I had to choose a winner it would be the wax, although it's hard to split two awesome lubes, the wax just takes it, with it being a good colour it has the edge as applying it is a little easier I think.
